Academic Award for Student Research in Vector Control
We are happy to announce that we are accepting applications for the Dr. Jan G. Humphreys PVCA Academic Award for Student Research in Vector Control.
Annually the Pennsylvania Vector Control Association (PVCA) meets to allow members to network and to promote dialog related to the advancement of vector control activities within Pennsylvania. PVCA also offers an annual competitive award for the best undergraduate and graduate students from Pennsylvania involved in vector research. The students are nominated by a member of PVCA or university contact. Nominees are reviewed by a selection committee, and the top undergraduate and graduate students are chosen.
PVCA invites the winners to present their research at our annual conference. This year’s conference runs from November 6-8, 2019 at the Wyndham Garden State College in Boalsburg, just outside of State College, PA. The recipients will receive one night’s lodging, meeting registration fee waiver which includes all breaks, Supplier Social and banquet, a framed certificate, and a cash award of $300.
