MISSION STATEMENT: “To provide educational enrichment and professional networking to all Commonwealth health personnel engaged in vector control activities, thereby maintaining and improving the quality of life for all Pennsylvanians.”

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Vector Control Association’s official website.  PVCA was established in 1974 as a professional organization serving municipal and state government professionals working in fields related to vector control.

Today, membership is made up primarily of local, county, and state employees working in mosquito control, black fly suppression, rodent control, and other vector control fields. Membership also includes university faculty, other members of the research community, and industry representatives from throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Each year, a statewide meeting is held to allow members to network and to promote dialog related to the advancement of vector control activities within the Commonwealth. The conference also provides opportunities for member enrichment through training sessions and presentations on various topics related to the science of disease vector organisms, vector control, entomology, and general pest control.
